The 86 Coffee Bar and Venue is a non-profit coffee shop and roaster on the University of Cincinnati’s campus. They have been roasting and serving coffee for 7 years. They recently moved to a new building and wanted to redesign their logo. It wasn’t a total overhaul of the original logo but a much-needed update.
For this redesign, we wanted the numbers 86 to be the most prominent feature. We wanted to keep the 86 somewhere in the logo but wanted it to work with the logo more. Upon exploration, we saw that it would fit in the 6.
The 86 wanted a logo that would also work well on merch items that they could sell.
